Water Efficiency
The Cambria Hotel College Park reduces water consumption through low-flow plumbing fixtures and water-efficient landscaping. The design team specified low-flow lavatory faucets, toilets, kitchen sinks, urinals, and showerheads.
The fixtures result in 28.9% water savings compared to the LEED baseline. This is equivalent to an estimated 838,195 gallons of water savings per year. Furthermore, the project's landscaping doesn't require a permanent irrigation system, thereby reducing water use at the building. This has been accomplished by selecting native and locally adaptive plants that don't require ongoing irrigation
